Language is intentionally vague as to leave a lot of room for variety and customization for every individual.
There is no flash to choose from This is A Process of Dialogue and Consent formed in moment to moment in energy exchange to reach a mutual goal of a tattoo that you want forever.
These points guide generally a continued conversation that is personal to each who receive a tattoo.
1. Placement of tattoo is reviewed having been asserted before session, if placement has changed this is decided upon before moving on, placement is the choice of the receiving body for their body. It is very possible to make a shape for and with any space on the body, whatever is imagined or desired for the space is also reviewed. If it is relevant to the individual It is relevant to the process.
2. Placement is prepared for drawing by shaving with soap and cleaning with isopropyl alcohol.
3. A Sketch is applied directly to body in the placement by the artist in an alcohol based ink in an abstract shape. This is an evolving process that looks a little different for everyone.
-There are many prompts seeking consent and comfort during design process such that a shape is reached that is right for the individual receiver.
-The potential shape is infinite and custom to everyone receiving, inspiration can come from anywhere most primarily the artists prior work.
-Everything is one of one.
4.The drawn on shape is adjusted on the body for any amount of time within any number of variables working with freehand flow while listening to one another and to the shape and to the body.
Dialogue between the artist and the receiver is continuous making space for adjustments as they become apparent in the ways they become apparent. With a drawing on the body there are different points to discuss and in this way we find a shape that is right For you from potentially infinite possibilities.
5. A sketch feels aligned and precious, and both Artist and Receiver feel it is ready to be made permanent.
6. Space is taken to transition to tattoo. Whatever that means at the time, tattoo is done in the shape drawn on and is only finished when the receiver feels it is finished, after the drawing is completed if further additive adjustments are to be made this is an option otherwise this is the end of the process.
7. Aftercare is discussed and prepared for, photographs are taken if Consented to and payment is exchanged. ◡̈
As the artist my biggest fear is to give a mark that is not wanted, this process is formed around the idea of giving each other space to reach a result together that will heal and grow with you in a way that promotes trust self advocacy consent and longevity, for each other for the work. ミ☆
